Katherine Hanz appointed Associate Dean, User Services

The 海外直播b站 Library is pleased to welcome Katherine Hanz as the new Associate Dean, User Services, on a four-year term, ending May 2025.

Katherine Hanz聽has been leading the User Services team on an interim basis since last year. Hanz will continue to provide leadership in numerous areas including circulation, reference, and instructional services in the Library鈥檚 physical and virtual spaces. She will also spearhead the development and day-to-day management of services delivered through 海外直播b站鈥檚 branch library system.

Items outside of 30 day automatic renewal manually renewed to September 30, 2021

As of January 2021, an unlimited, automatic thirty-day renewal policy will be applied to most items.聽

Items that do not聽fall within the automatic renewal policy have been manually renewed to September 30, 2021. Items in question聽include materials on reserve prior to March 2020 or materials held by patrons whose accounts have expired.

Please note that:

- materials will be renewed automatically as long the account is in good standing

New online submission form for eScholarship

Update: Zoom class zones, group study tables, and drop-in printing in Redpath Study Hub

Group study tables (updated April 5, 2021)

Students can book a group study table on the 3rd floor of the Redpath Library Building from 12PM-4PM (Monday to Friday). Tables are available for Groups of 2, 3, and 4 people.

The 海外直播b站聽University聽Library is happy to announce an agreement between the聽Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN)听补苍诲听厂补驳别听笔耻产濒颈肠补迟颈辞苍蝉聽which will provide more聽open access聽options for 海外直播b站 authors.聽

As of January 2021, 海外直播b站 corresponding authors publishing with Sage Choice journals* will have the option to make their work made open,聽at no cost.听听

Modification to UpToDate landing page over EZproxy

Update: Automatic renewal issue for a portion of items due January 11

Update (January 14, 2021):

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Library extended all loans due during the campus shutdown to January 11, 2021. On this date, most loans for accounts in good standing we rolled into the new loans policy (automatic聽renewal聽every 30 days). Some loans did not automatically renew for accounts in good standing and the Library is working to address this issue.聽

Items checked out to patrons with accounts that were聽not in good standing did not renew; these items are now overdue.

The Redpath Study Hub will be open on Sundays during the month of December (Dec.聽6, 13, 20).

The following time slots are available for booking:

- Redpath Library Building, second floor -聽10:30 AM to 3:30 PM聽

- Redpath Library Building, main floor - 11:00聽AM聽to 4:00 PM

- Redpath Library Building, Cyberth猫que, ground floor聽 - 11:30 AM to 4:30 PM聽
