October 25, 2021
Dear members of the 海外直播b站 community,
As we mark the midpoint of the Fall 2021 Term, I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your ongoing commitment to our safe return to campus. We are doing extremely well as a campus community in taking the steps needed for COVID prevention. High vaccination rates within our community, very low number of COVID-19 cases, the fact that there has been no transmission in our classrooms since the start of the pandemic, and a suite of new initiatives all illustrate our commitment and actions that are working to keep our campuses safe.
Accordingly, 海外直播b站 will progressively increase in-person teaching activities for the Winter 2022 term, while being prudent given that the world remains in a pandemic context. Given our commitment to on-campus teaching and learning while maintaining a safe on-campus environment, we have decided that lecture courses with enrolment capacities of 200 or greater will mostly be offered through remote delivery. All other teaching activities will be allocated a classroom space, so that instructors can deliver their courses in a manner that ensures engaging in-person experiences for students.
Winter 2022 planning reflects our ongoing commitment to collaboration and engagement with the community about academic planning in the COVID-19 context. In addition to discussions with senior administration, the Emergency Operation Centre, and Faculties, Senate鈥檚 Ad-Hoc Advisory Committee on COVID Academic Planning and Policies provided critical feedback and perspectives in this regard. I thank everyone for their thoughtful comments and input.
With best wishes,
Christopher Manfredi
Provost and Vice-Principal (Academic)
