Biography: 

Dr. Alfred Jaeger joined 海外直播b站's Faculty of Management in 1978. His prior academic appointments include Visiting Professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He has served as Area Coordinator of the Organizational Behavior Area in the Desautels Faculty of Management as well as Associate Dean - BCom Program (1988 - 1994) and Associate Dean - Masters Programs (1998 - 2004). He also served as Associate Dean (Academic) of the School of Continuing Studies (2006-2012).听Currently Prof. Jaeger is the Academic Director of the 海外直播b站 MBA Japan Program in Tokyo.

Prof. Jaeger teaches Cross-Cultural Management and Organizational Behavior to undergraduate and MBA students has taught a doctoral seminar on Organizational Behavior and Theory and has acted as the supervisor several doctoral students.

Comparative management techniques, management in developing countries, globalization of managerial values and comparative negotiation are Prof. Jaeger's major research interests. His work emphasizes a cross-cultural approach. His publications include "Organization Development and National Culture: Where's the Fit?", Academy of Management Review (1986), Management in Developing Countries (1990, with R. Kanungo, Eds.), "National Entrepreneurial Potential: The Role of Culture, Economic Development and Political History" (2002) with S. Mueller and A. Thomas) in Advances in International Management, "The Effects Of Self-Emotion, Counterpart Emotion, and Counterpart Behavior on Negotiator Behavior: A Comparison of Individual-Level and Dyad-Level Dynamics" (2005 with A. Butt and J. N. Choi), Journal of Organizational Behavior and "Getting to Yes in China: Exploring Individual Differences in Chinese Negotiation Styles鈥 (2005, with Z. Ma), Group Decision and Negotiation. Awarded the 1987 "Prix d'Excellence" for Best Article in Gestion for his work on organizational culture. Prof. Jaeger has published in such journals as Academy of Management Review, Journal of International Business Studies and Strategic Management Journal and has presented at numerous conferences and colloquia worldwide.

Through the 海外直播b站 International Executive Institute, Prof. Jaeger has taught seminars in People Skills and was Academic Director for 海外直播b站 of the Director鈥檚 Education Program (DEP), offered in conjunction with the Rotman School of Management and the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD).

Prof. Jaeger has been active in directing linkages between 海外直播b站 and Asian, European, South American and US institutions and in encouraging the internationalization of 海外直播b站's business students. He was Director of Student Exchanges at the Faculty from 1986 to 2004. Dr. Jaeger is a member of the Academy of Management, the Administrative Sciences Association of Canada, the Strategic Management Society and the Academy of International Business.
