Students have a plethora of options to secure funding for their education. Each department and school has their own funding opportunities. Personal Support
Local Wellness Advisor (LWA)-Engineering: A听Local Wellness Advisor connects students to appropriate resources on-and-off campus, provides psychoeducational and skills-based workshops, and provides individual one-on-one appointments. The Engineering LWA supports all engineering students (undergraduate and graduate) regardless of Engineering department.

Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (GPS): For information on graduate and postdoctoral policies, thesis submission, and additional graduate funding opportunities.
ServicePoint: Assists with ID cards, enrolment letters, account holds, and legal documents.
Student Accounts: Answers questions regarding fees and tuition.
International Student Services (ISS): Provides information on immigration documents, health coverage, and offers a series of events for international students.
ECalendar: Find course descriptions and program requirements. Please refer to your department or school specific Graduate Studies Handbook for further information on your program.
Professional Development
SkillSets: Helps graduate students and post-doctoral fellows develop interdisciplinary professional skills.
Teaching and Learning Services (TLS): TLS offers resources for graduate student instructors who are Teaching Assistants or are responsible for teaching their own course. TLS helps graduate student instructors improve their teaching, facilitation, and presentation skills.
Career Planning Service (CaPS): CAPS offers a full range of student services and resources to orient academic and non-academic careers.

Milestones
Letter of Understanding (LOU): All PhD students in the Faculty of Engineering are required to submit a Letter of Understanding (LOU) to their department at the beginning of their program. A LOU form is a tool used to clarify mutual expectations between a supervisor and supervisee. This helps ensure the success of the graduate student.
Study Plan: All PhD students in the Faculty of Engineering are required to submit a Study Plan at the beginning of their program to their department. A Study Plan can be prepared in any format. This is a basic plan of how you plan to complete your degree. All Study Plans should be signed by the student鈥檚 supervisor(s). Common formats for Study Plans are one-page graphs, timelines, and written plans.
