- º£ÍâÖ±²¥bÕ¾ alumni must register for a º£ÍâÖ±²¥bÕ¾ Libraries Borrowing Card in order to borrow items from the Libraries. Your º£ÍâÖ±²¥bÕ¾ alumni usernameÌý(generallyÌýfirstname.lastname [at] mail.mcgill.ca)Ìýand password are required in order to register. If you do not have an alumni username and password,Ìý.
- Cost for alumni: free
- º£ÍâÖ±²¥bÕ¾ Libraries Borrowing Cards are valid in all º£ÍâÖ±²¥bÕ¾Ìýlibraries, subject to the borrowing policies of individual collections.
- A º£ÍâÖ±²¥bÕ¾ Libraries Borrowing Card may only be used by the person to whom it is issued.
- The º£ÍâÖ±²¥bÕ¾ Libraries Borrowing Card is valid for 12 months; the expiration date is calculated from the date of registration.
- Fines or other sanctions are imposed for late returns and cards may be cancelled if misused.
Note: Registering for a º£ÍâÖ±²¥bÕ¾ Libraries Borrowing Card does not provide remote access to the Library’s electronic resources outside of those available to all alumni, nor does it give you access to all library services and resources.
To register for a º£ÍâÖ±²¥bÕ¾ Libraries Borrowing Card:
- Complete the application for theÌý.
- Visit any Information Desk atÌýany libraryÌý±ð³æ³¦±ð±è³ÙÌýthe Rare Books & Special Collections Library or the º£ÍâÖ±²¥bÕ¾ÌýArchives.
- Bring a photo ID & proof of address.
Once your application has been processed, you will be provided with a º£ÍâÖ±²¥bÕ¾ Libraries Borrowing Card that you can use to borrow items.
To renew a º£ÍâÖ±²¥bÕ¾ Libraries Borrowing Card:
The º£ÍâÖ±²¥bÕ¾ Libraries Borrowing Card may be renewed by email, by phone, or in person atÌýany libraryÌýexceptÌýtheÌýRare Books & Special Collections Library or the º£ÍâÖ±²¥bÕ¾ Archives.
